Sulamita Church is striving to use every connection and resource to help the people affected by war. Since late February 2022, we have sent more than $100,000 of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, received and helped over one hundred refugees, and dispatched dozens of volunteers.
These are ongoing efforts. We are actively working with trusted local partners on the ground to keep the supply of food running to war-ravaged areas, keep transportation fueled to deliver aid and evacuate people from war zones, and help refugees seeking shelter in the US.
Welcoming refugees
We have been receiving multiple families of refugees every week, including through the Uniting for Ukraine program. If you would like to help with housing, household goods, or in any other way, please contact us.
Giving
To contribute financially, you can give securely online. All proceeds go to sending aid to Ukraine and providing first assistance to local refugees. The greatest needs are:
- Food relief to eastern Ukraine
- Fuel for evacuation routes
- Food and basic necessities for people displaced by war in Rivne, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv and other regions
- Support for families who have lost one or both parents
